One evening, as we sat relaxing, we began discussing alternatives to synthetic fertilisers for our coastal farm. We knew that it was going to have to be a liquid fertiliser.

 

Our thoughts turned to our grandparents, both well known in their communities for having some of the best vegetable gardens around.

 

What was their secret - Fish!!

 

They were both keen fisherman who made a habit of burying fish waste in their gardens.  While that approach wasn't practical for our farm, it sparked an idea.  Can we make a liquid fish fertiliser? After extensive research, we decided to trial fish hydrolysate as a natural alterative.

What began as a small venture quickly grew into something much bigger.  Today we produce FishBru, an organic fish hydrolysate using 100% locally sourced fish waste, sustainably caught under commercial quota. FishBru is a natural liquid fertiliser, and the key to unlocking your soil.
